Stories in Stillness
Painting the quiet moments that say everything.

Art, for me, is about more than just wildlife or Western imagery, it’s about storytelling. Not just the stories we see, but the ones we feel. I aim to capture the emotional charge of a moment, the tension, the triumph, the stillness. To reflect the grandiosity that exists even in the seemingly mundane.

My paintings are rooted in the life and culture of the West, but the stories they tell are ones we all know. Ones of grit, longing, connection, freedom, fear, love. Whether it’s a cowboy behind a unshaken barrel of a gun, a wild animal locked in stillness, or just the silence before something changes. I’m drawn to the peaks of experience, where emotion is raw and memory is being made.

Through bold imagery, expressive brushwork, and a palette that balances instinct and intention, I work to pull those stories to the surface, to make them visible and visceral. Because what moves us most often isn’t something new, it’s something deeply familiar, seen again in a different light.

I built my studio in my backyard to stay close to the land and close to the people I love. It’s from that place, rooted, grateful, and wide-eyed, that I create.

My hope is that my work gives voice to something you’ve felt, reminds you of something real, and helps you see the beauty in the wild, the West, and your own story.
